After getting lost in the Duuurty South i managed to find the Lewisham Wrestling Club. These are first shots looking at wrestling based around the idea of ‘Legacy’ for a possible competition entry. Gonna see what i get next time round…
If you know me, you’ll know i’m into grime in a pretty big way. Went to see Skepta at the Jazz Cafe a couple of weeks ago and met Wretch 32.
Pretty sure i came across as an epic nerd but the concert was still SICK! Though not having a TV and limited internet meant that even my little sis had heard his track Amnesia, whereas I was just like - how did i miss this?
Hopefully this is the start though and it’ll lead on to bigger things and hopefully i can capture the art of grime again, but with much better lighting lol.
Didn’t really know much about the Saatchi gallery before i went there the first time. I get the impression Charles Saatchi is meant to be some kind of Don or somethin’, i read one of his books and was pretty indifferent to the guy, but of all the art galleries i’ve been to the Saatchi is well worth the trip. The things inside that place are pretty engaging and make me wanna do something instead of feeling cheated for spending money on a travel card.
Okay, so it aired first in 1999 and i’m like 12 years late on this, but i just watched a really decent documentary on the laughter clubs across india, in particular Bombay, Goa and Mumbai, in which people meet up to share stories and just laugh basically. Really uplifting and good to see a positive and fresh view of Indian culture on TV.
Shots from a few weddings i did last year, hopefully many more to come this time round. 2011 should be pretty decent i reckon. I like a good wedding, More poses. More parties. More Champagne more glasses buy out di bar mi no care what the cost is. Well, after i finish taking photos anyway - not really, i’m a lidl basics student right now lol.
Some more book cover practice. These are from the Typophile book cover meme type battle (lol) in which you make a book based on a random wikipedia article and a google image from the LIFE image library. But i bet you wanna read them now, aye?
So, if you missed it, or where one of the 17 people listenin’ and wana listen again ( thanks to y’all by the way ) you can listen to the art of grime again at the link below. Lol bit rough on the mixing, and the on air banter, but not too bad for a first time, no? Lol well next if you liked it, check me out on the 22nd of Feb at Flavors.me/radioshed for the Art of Grime … 2
